It’s Sat. Nov 2nd. and well there’s just a lot going on this week. However, I have a few other tid bits to get out before we get these updates out.
Nov 11th is Veterans Day! You can help celebrate in honoring our veterans by buying them a beer at Young Veterans Brewing. You can do from their website. I really like this idea and have given my support. You should consider helping out as well.
If you didn’t hear Crooked Run Brewing will hold their Grand Opening on Nov 9th. I haven’t heard further details but I know that much is correct.
Speaking of new breweries, Isley Brewing opened this past week. I stopped in briefly and it was packed. I didn’t get a chance to try their beers as my kids really wanted to go, but I’ll back.
OK so let’s get in some of this week’s highligts!!!
Well yesterday (Fri 11/1/2013) kicked off RVA Beer Week. This is also the end of the Screens ‘n’ Suds week. So today (Sat Nov 2nd) there are bunch of events going on.
Today is the big day for festivals. Rather than try to go into detail in all of the festivals, I’ll list them with their links.
Apple Harvest Festival at Albemarle Ciderworks
Mad Fox Brewing Cask Festival in Falls Church
Novemberfest at Rustico Restaurant Alexandria
Midnight Brewing Harvest Festival in Rockville
and on Sunday 3rd Annual Autumn Bottom Brews takes place at 17th Street Farmer’s Market
Of course, the biggest event of the day is the Screens ‘n’ Suds Big Art Event happening at Gallery 5.
….and all of this is just on Sat.
Remember RVA Beer Week is all week long.
