Virginia Craft Beer Events from 3/9 – 3/15

Great news Senate bill SB604 (which would allow for your favorite local production brewery to serve full pints in their tasting room) passed through both House and Senate and is just waiting Govenor’s signature.  Once signed into law, on July 1st, 2012 you’ll be able to buy full pints at your favorite production brewery.  I have heard whispers that many are already planning something big to celebrate.  I’ll let you know more once I find out.

If you haven’t hopped over to Vabeertrail.net, you really should stop by.  Kory always seems to have some interesting tid bit of news in the area.  Like the announcement of a new brewery in planning in Ashland, called Center of the Universe Brewing.  You can read more here.

Speaking of new breweries, there is one in planning in Loudoun County called Adroit Theory Brewing.  According to an article at DCBeer.com they’ll focus on the “1-percenters.”  Bascially, expect to see a lot of more specialized brews from these guys.  They are targeting early 2013.  Oh and if you haven’t seen their logos, well they are pretty kick ass.  Follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

That’s great news! Hopefully more states will correct the unfairly restrictive laws that hinder craft beer. Enjoy!

    Cheers!
