The last few weeks I have been talking about Strangeways Brewing. Every thing has been pretty quiet as to when they will open here in Richmond. Well their time has finally come. They will be releasing Batch 1 and Batch 2 this Sat at locations around Richmond. Their tasting room officially opens on Wed 29th. I’ll post more as details finally come forward. Oh and notice I don’t have beer names or styles, they are still keeping that information under wraps.
So with that let’s get into our updates:
Fri May 24th:
Whole Food Short Pump will have a Homefront IPA celebration. Come out and learn more about Operation Homefront while picking up some bottles, eating some BBQ and listening to music. The fun starts at 4pm.
It’s Friday and that means Firkin Friday at Hardywood Park. They will have a special firkin tapped at 4:30pm. Music will be provided by Mills Family Band.
Sat May 18th:
Center of the Universe Brewing is having a Homefront IPA Party starting at 3pm. They will have music, food trucks and of course Homefront IPA on tap and bottles. Plus you can come out and learn more about the different organizations helping our veterans and their families.
It’s Sat and time for another festival. This time it is the Valley Fest at Massanutten Resort. The festival starts at 11 and runs until 7pm. Click the link for more details.
Strangeways Brewing is releasing their first two beers tot he Richmond market today. Follow the link to find out where and what time they will start pouring. Who knows you might even get to meet the crew from Strangeways Brewing.
Tue May 28th:
The Boathouse and Rocketts Landing is having a Striped Bass Pale Ale Charity Party. Join us as we celebrate the bounty of the Chesapeake Bay with Devils Backbone Striped Bass Pale Ale. Founders Steve & Heidi Crandall will be on hand as we present a check donation to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
Wed May 29th:
Hardywood Park is hosting their weekly GROW RVA Farmers Market from 4-9pm. Come out and visit the many vendors and food trucks.
Capital Ale House Fredericksburg is having a week long event. Come out each night and order a Duvel beer. When you do, get a special glass that you can keep. Each night the glass is different. I’ve been them and boy are they beautiful.
RVA Street Foodies Truck Court will be at Center of the Universe Brewing starting at 5pm.
Thur May 30th:
Berret’s Taphouse Grill will have a Devils Backbone Steal the Pint night starting at 6pm.
RVA Street Foodies Truck Court makes it’s stop at Hardywood Park starting at 6pm.
